Please Note:
Weddings at the Courthouse are conducted by Kenosha County Judges and Court Commissioners on weekdays at assigned times. Scheduling of weddings is handled through the office of the Clerk of Circuit Court, by calling 262-653-2465. If your call is not answered, leave a voicemail message, and ordinarily it will be returned within 24 hours. Weddings need to be scheduled prior to applying for the marriage license. Please provide the County Clerk's Office the name of the judge performing the wedding and the day it is scheduled.Persons Who May Not Marry
- A Person under the age of 16
- Blood relatives - nearer of kin than second cousins, except when the female is 55 years of age or older
- Persons declared incompetent by the Court
- Persons who have not been divorced for six months whether the divorce was granted in Wisconsin or elsewhere
Persons Who May Marry
Every person who has attained the age of 18 years is of age to marry. If a person is 16 or 17 years of age, a license may be issued with the written consent of the person's parent(s), guardian(s) or custodian(s). Parent, guardian or custodian consent forms must be executed at the time of application before the County Clerk or certified in writing or verified before a Notary Public.
