Special Events

Are you interested in hosting an event in a Kenosha County Park? 

Our Parks Division offers unique venues to accommodate special events throughout the year. We welcome wholesome family-friendly events that provide fun activities to our residents and visitors. To ensure that your planned event is a success, please review all related policies, event applicant responsibilities, and applicable fees to better assist with planning your event. Metal Detecting

Metal detecting is permissible within Kenosha County Parks without a permit. 

Per the Kenosha County ordinance, "Persons are permissible to metal detect within a county park. Digging and disturbance are prohibited within athletic fields, golf courses, natural areas, Kemper Center, and lawn areas adjacent to Old Settlers Park and Silver Lake Park Beach(s). Persons are responsible for restoring disturbed sites back to the original condition in authorized areas."

Scuba Diving

Recreational scuba diving is free for individual park users at Kenosha County Veterans Memorial Park. Individuals are required to annually submit a completed permit application and liability form for review and approval prior to participating in recreational scuba diving at Kenosha County Veterans Memorial Park Lake. Once complete, send your inquiry to the Director of Public Works at shelly.billingsley@kenoshacountywi.gov.
