Academy Details

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Citizens' Academy is a seven-week program designed to give participants a firsthand look at the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department operations. Participants will ride along with deputies on the street, receive instruction in criminal and traffic law and be instructed in basic law enforcement procedures, as well as officer safety practices.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and Kenosha County Residents. The Academy classes are held weekly, from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM, at the Public Safety Building (1000-55th St. Kenosha).

For the next session, applications will be accepted until Oct. 7, 2022. You will be contacted once the next academy date is confirmed. Applications are available at the Kenosha Sheriff’s Department, on the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department website, or by e-mail.
