Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser invites bike riders of all ability levels to participate in the Fall Wheel Ride to Petrifying Springs Park from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, Oct 3.
Riders are encouraged to select one of two starting points to the park’s Pavilion 1, located near the Highway JR entrance. The starting points are:
• 9 a.m. at Simmons Island Park, 44th Street and Kennedy Drive – 5.8 miles (one way) to Pavilion 1 at Petrifying Springs Park;
• 9:30 a.m. at Bose Elementary School, 1900 15th St. – 2.3 miles to Pavilion 1 at Petrifying Springs Park.
There will be concessions and bike-related activities at the pavilion between 10 am and 12 pm.
Everyone has fun with the fall leaves, from the chipmunks to the boys and girls. After the story, we'll go on a hike with activities tied to the story.
Flowers are so beautiful, we bring them from the outside into our homes to add cheer to the room. But there's more to flowers than just good looks. Without them, plants would not make seeds, and scientists think the world would be much drier. Pre-registration is required by Thursday, June 4th!
