Lake Michigan Day was started in 2014 to highlight the importance of this great water body to the basin’s environment and economy. Lake Michigan Day is a time set aside to consider our connection to Lake Michigan’s freshwater resources. Pringle is celebrating by having a bird walk with Hoy Audubon's Rick Fare at the park.

The Perseids is one of the best meteor showers to observe, producing up to 60 meteors per hour at their peak. This year's shower should peak on the night of August 11th and the morning of the 12h.
