1. Are you a temporary agency?

No. We charge no fee to our clients for posting open positions nor do we have a pool of workers that we can call upon on short-notice for temporary jobs. We are able to advertise within the Job Center when an employer does need workers quickly.

2. Can we make our posting a blind ad / posting?

We are able to suppress the company information on any job orders we put into the system. Application instructions would need to be tailored to accommodate this request.

3. Can we put an ad in the newspaper telling people to contact the Job Center instead of our office?

Yes. You may refer job seekers to the Job Center to complete applications; using your companies' applications or to submit resumes. In order to use this service, your job order must be posted on JCW and your Business Services representative should be the point of contact for job seekers. Contact your representative for more information regarding this service.

4. Can we use the Job Center for interviews, recruitment or orientations?

Yes. The Kenosha County Job Center has limited conference and office space, which can be used by employers for any on-site recruitment, interviews, or training. These rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis. The employer is responsible for advertising any on-site recruitment sessions as well as posting the position(s) on JCW at least three days prior to holding the onsite interview. We will also post your open position(s) internally.

5. Can you help me find a job?

While the Business Services team is dedicated to meeting the needs of area businesses and employers, there are several other agencies within the Kenosha County Job Center that specifically work with job seekers to place them in available positions. These services can be accessed by calling the General Reception number, 262-697-4500 and asking to speak with someone in the Professional and Career Development Unit (PCDU).

6. Do we need to come to the job center to post these jobs?

You do not have to visit the job center to post your open positions. Open positions can be posted through one of the following methods:

• Directly linking to the Job Center of Wisconsin
• Contacting the JCW Call Center at 1-888-671-5627
• Emailing the Job Center

Employers who use the Internet to complete job orders are required to register as a user with the State of Wisconsin. Job orders must also be completed by the employer if this option is selected.

The Business Service team has qualified representatives that can assist you in completing your job order, as well as developing job descriptions and providing labor market information.

7. Do you have a pool of qualified applicants from which you can provide me with workers?

Applicants can see posted positions on the Job Center of Wisconsin website (listed by category) and apply for those positions for which they are qualified. We do not have a “pool” of applicants that we can call upon to fill open positions. We leave it up to the job seeker to make the connections.

8. Do you provide services to companies that are not located in Kenosha?

The State of Wisconsin system has offices located throughout the state. Our experience demonstrates that companies are best served by their local office. In Kenosha, we do extend services to companies in Illinois that share common borders with Kenosha County.

10. How do we schedule on-site recruitments?

On-Site Recruitments can be scheduled upon request. Please contact Business Services at 262-697-4610 to schedule a time.

We also hold four job fairs throughout the year. There is a small fee to register and staff a booth at these fairs.

11. How long will our job stay online?

This is a decision to be made by you, the employer. A job order will stay online for a total of 30 days without needing to be renewed, providing there are no special instructions to the contrary. Upon the 30-day mark, your account representative will need to “re-open” the job order to continue the posting. Postings are available for a total of 90 days in length. Job orders requiring shorter postings can be accommodated.

12. What are the fees for posting on the Job Center of Wisconsin?

There are no fees to post positions on the Job Center of Wisconsin. JCW is a State of Wisconsin website that was developed to connect job seekers with the available opportunities in their local area.

13. Will you interview my applicants?

We are able to provide HR extension services such as screening and interviewing of applicants to our clients for a small fee. Individual service details can be worked out with a Business Services representative.
