You’re there for them, we’re here for you! Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a six-week, workshop, is a self-care education program for family caregivers. PTC provides self-care tools and strategies to better handle the unique challenges caregivers face. Subjects include reducing personal stress, changing negative self-talk, communicating effectively in challenging situations, recognizing emotions and difficult feelings, and making tough caregiving decisions. You'll need a computer, iPad or tablet, as well as internet access. Class runs Wednesdays, March 13-April 17, 2024. Deadline to register is Friday, March 8.

Put LIFE back in your life! If you are 55+, have diabetes, or care for someone who does, and are a Kenosha County resident, contact the ADRC to participate in this unique opportunity. Healthy Living with Diabetes is a 6-week evidence-based program from Stanford University that has helped people world-wide: Be in control and feel better, have more energy, use new tools to manage their diabetes, create new goals.
The Kenosha County Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) offers no-cost, unbiased workshops for those new to Medicare, or who want to learn more. Trained benefit specialists are available to answer questions and discuss the decisions you’ll need to make, including the basics of Medicare coverage, options for private health and drug coverage, and public benefits that can help with health care costs. If possible, sign up for a workshop 3-4 months before your Medicare starts. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED for the two-hour session. Call the ADRC at 262-605-6646.
