4-H Youth Ice Fishing Derby

The 4-H Youth Ice Fishing Derby is hosted by the Kenosha County Parks in cooperation with County Executive Jim Kreuser, the Kenosha County University of Wisconsin Extension 4-H Fishing Project, the Pringle Nature Center and the Fishing Depot in Twin Lakes. This annual event gives children the opportunity to ice fish with experienced adults as well as join in special activities including snow shoeing and self-guided hikes through four miles of trails within KD Park. There is a $2 entry fee per participant and are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles since limited supplies will be provided by the Parks Division. Participants can purchase bait and concessions provided by the Fishing Depot of Twin Lake. Prizes will be distributed to participants based on awards for select categories.
