Workforce Development

Our Mission

The Division of Workforce Development provides services for low-income families, custodial and non-custodial parents and the general public at the Kenosha County Job Center/Human Services Building, the Kenosha County Center, and various other community based outstation sites. The Division of Workforce Development is divided into two key departments, the Economic Support Agency and the Child Support Agency.

Program Services

Economic Support Program

The Economic Support Program administers local, state and federal Income Maintenance programs including Child Care Assistance, Medicaid/Badger Care Plus, Food Share and Utility / Energy Assistance. The program works in partnership with Food Share Employment and Training and Wisconsin Works (W-2). 

Through the Kenosha County SHARES Program, the division provides emergency shelter and food for those food insecure and homeless. To obtain information online, visit Access Wisconsin or MyACCESS Mobile App at dhs.wisconsin.gov/forwardhealth/myaccess.

Child Support Services

Kenosha County Child Support Services works to establish paternity, set medical and financial orders and enforce orders to ensure that all children within our county are supported by both of their parents. Child Support Services strives to work with both parents to accomplish positive family outcomes.

Job Center

The Kenosha County Job Center (KCJC) assists employers and job seekers in making the connection that leads to employment.  Job seekers utilize KCJC services to find a job or a better job. Employers utilize Business Services to help meet their human resource and workforce development needs.

Business Services

Business Services of Kenosha County provides employers one stop access to a quality workforce, both by direct services and linkages to a coordinated network of referral sources. Located at the Kenosha County Job Center, the Business Services team provides a single point of contact to assist employers in the recruitment, training, and retention of workers.
