Care-A-Van 

Care-A-Van is paratransit transportation for older adults and persons with disabilities who are unable to use the Kenosha city bus. The service area is the city of Kenosha, east of I-94. Eligibility for the service requires completing an application for services with a doctor’s signature verifying the condition that prevents someone from taking the public bus service. The cost is $4.00 each way. Riders must have exact change. The hours of operation are 4:55 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Fridays and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. LINK offers rural public bus service for residents living west of I-94. This is a door-to-door service. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All vehicles are accessible with lifts and wheelchair tie-downs. Reservations are required at least a day in advance and can be made by calling 888-203-3498. 

The cost is $5.00 each way for the general public and $3.00 each way for older adults and people with disabilities. For the reduced fare, a form must be filled out and can be returned in person or by mail to 8600 Sheridan Road, Kenosha, WI 53143. Download the reduced fare application form (PDF)

Volunteer Transportation 

Volunteer Transportation utilizes volunteers using their personal vehicles to offer rides to those 60+ and to adults with disabilities residing in Kenosha County. The service operates any time of the day, any day of the week, and can cross county boundaries based on volunteer availability. Riders must be ambulatory and able to enter the vehicle with little to no assistance. 

Effective April 1. 2024, a one way trip under 5 miles, will cost $6.00. A one way trip over 6 miles will cost $1.00 per mile. An additional stop can be added per trip, for an additional surcharge of $2.00.

Regional Medical Transportation

Regional Medical Transportation is available for Kenosha residents to travel for medical appointments in Racine, Walworth, and Milwaukee counties. Eligible riders are those who do NOT receive Medicaid or are enrolled in a long-term care program, such as Family Care, Partnership, or Iris. All vehicles are accessible. 

Hours of operation are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The fares for the rides are based on the mileage of the trip. A trip that is 1-15 miles is $10 each way, a trip that is 16-30 miles is $20 each way, and a trip that is 31+ miles is $30.00 each way. 

Regional Medical Transportation is a door-to-door service and requires a 3 to 5 day advanced reservation. Reservations can be made by calling 262-658-9093.
