Civil Process

The Sheriff of each county in the State of Wisconsin is responsible for the service of civil process. The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department serves approximately 8,900 pieces of civil process paperwork each year. The types of process served include subpoenas, temporary restraining orders, repossessions, evictions and foreclosures. Property is also sold at Sheriff’s sales which are held in the lobby of the Public Safety Building. The Civil Process unit tries to fulfill its commitment to these difficult tasks, in challenging situations in an understanding way.
