Bristol Woodstock Concert Series
Join us every Thursday evening, starting on June 24th, this summer for a new summer concert series at Bristol Woods Park! Grab your lawn chairs or picnic blankets and enjoy the sounds of local artists in the park. Each concert is subject to weather conditions.
The event is free to attend and fun for all ages. Featuring a variety of music genres, Bristol Woodstock is sure to get anyone on their feet.
June 24 | The Flood Brothers Band | FolkThe Flood Brothers Band play that "further than folk thing and leave the frontage road" with a tasty blend of electric tunes. A staple at the Wisconsin State Fair, the Flood Brothers Band bring a variety of genres together with a four voice front and dynamic instrumentalists. With Sea Level style piano and vocals right out of the seventies, this group is writing songs like that era is still alive and well.
July 1 | Spirit Shakers | Rock
The Spirit Shakers offers a clash of talented musicians with a whole lot of spirit. These are the key ingredients to making a band that will surely shake you up.
July 8 | Ben Mulwana | Acoustic
Ben Mulwana is a Ugandan-born and raised artist residing in Wisconsin. With soulful lyrics and a diverse range of musical inspiration, Ben's music has a storytelling quality that is both unique and familiar. Whether alone or with his band, he brings high energy, engaging with his listeners and sharing his heart through his music.
Ben released his debut EP, "Wano Naawe", in June 2019; and his most recently released Single, "Lies of the Devil", is available on all streaming platforms. Ben is set to release his next project in June 2021.
July 15 | Lunde | RockThe family roots of Lunde run deep, both literally and in spirit. Cousins Jeremiah Lunde and Nate Uhrich originally conceived the band in 2018, when they were re-introduced to each other’s musical inclinations. Soon after, they started collaborations with some of Kenosha’s best young talent, and the band’s debut album Living Strange began to take shape.
Bringing in many influences, from Twin Peaks to Tame Impala, Bob Dylan, and Oasis, the album was a perfect storm. The album features the elements of their trademark sound, like the analog production, reminiscent of 60s and 70s rock records. Since the release of Living Strange in June of 2020, the band has expanded to a 5 piece superpower which consists of Nate Uhrich, Jeremiah Lunde, Joshua Janiak, Evan Steidtman, and Logan Haller.
July 22 | The Blues Disciples | BluesThe Blues Disciples have been bringing their Blues to the people of the local clubs in the Milwaukee area and the Midwest region since 1990. Founded by "Barefoot" Jimmy Schwarz with the intent of remaining true to the influences of the Chicago electric blues era of the '50's and 60's. Influenced initially by the likes of Little Walter, and Muddy Waters, and then directly by Wisconsin Blues greats Jim Liban and Billy Flynn they forged a sound and band that rose to the top of the Milwaukee Blues scene.
July 29 | Flat Creek HWY | Bluegrass, AmericanaFlat Creek HWY is an acoustic bluegrass ensemble playing a mix of traditional bluegrass music and songs from other genres that have been adapted for a string-band sound.
August 5 | Rust Belt | RockRust Belt is a southeastern Wisconsin roots rock band that formed in April of 2016. Long time veteran musicians Paul Aceto (Bass), Brandon Shilts (Guitar), Don Miller (Drums), and Kevin Schultz (Hammond organ) joined forces in creating a powerhouse of a band. With their unmistakable sound their songs paint a vivid picture of the times and culture that surrounds them. Along with the ability to do a full night of original music, Rust Belt also covers bands and artists such as Ryan Adams, Jason Isbel, The Allman Brothers, Wide Spread Panic, Greatful Dead, Tom Petty, Paul Simon, Government Mule, Bob Dylan, Manfred Mann, Jerry Garcia, The Band, The Monkeys and more
August 12 | Matt Meyer | AcousticMatt Meyer is a Kenosha native singer/guitarist that plays a wide variety of genres. From 1960s to current artists, Meyer offers an eclectic mix of music by artists such as Johnny Cash, Snoop Dogg, Allman Brothers, Jack Johnson, Kings of Leon.
August 19 | Prof Pinkerton's Irrelevant Orchestra | Jazz, BluesProf Pinkerton is a Milwaukee based Early American Roots music aficionado. The "Irrelevant Orchestra" acts as the house band for his live music circus show "Dead Man's Carnival". Both of which share a regional cult like following.
August 26 | Violet Wilder | Indie
Violet Wilder is an indie music trio from Southeastern Wisconsin. Their composition incorporates a mixture of genres and 3-part harmony. Their band name is a dedication to their midwestern roots as Wisconsinites, choosing "Violet" as a tribute to the state flower, and the color violet to represent dreams and imagination. "Wilder" refers to someone living off of the beaten path.
