Affordable Connectivity Program

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), run by the Federal Communications Commission, helps low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices:

  • Up to a $30 per month discount on internet service 
  • A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)

Households are eligible for ACP if one of the following is met:

  • Household income is at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines
  • Household currently participates in certain government assistance programs, such as SNAP, Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income, WIC or Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit

Lifeline Program

Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone or internet service:

  • Up to $9.25 off the cost of phone, internet or bundled services

Households are eligible for Lifeline if one of the following is met:

  • Household income is at or below 135 percent of the federal poverty guidelines
  • Household currently participates in SNAP, Medicaid, FoodShare, Supplemental Security Income, Federal Public Housing Assistance or Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit
