**As a Navy Veteran 1961 - 1966 and a member of Navy Club Ship 40 & Kenosha County Veterans Council I ask for your consideration to budget for the Veterans Park of Kenosha County. I feel the park and memorial to Veterans would be a step in the right direction for Veterans to have a place to reflect on their lost Brothers & Sisters who sacrificed their lives for our GREAT COUNTRY. God Bless America!  -  Thank You, Dan Fluck, Navy Corpsman

**I respectfully request your vote of “Yes” for the inclusion of Phase I of the Kenosha County Veterans Memorial Park in the 2021 County Budget Resolution.  I understand this budget line item is within the financial means of the county budget.

I reside in the Kenosha County 12th district and served honorably in the US Navy.  I currently am the Commander of Kenosha Navy Club Ship 40.
I have visited the park and am impressed by the natural beauty and potential of the park, but the park is under used and needs additional development.  Indeed, when I was a Boy Scout leader one of my scout’s
Eagle project was to provide material improvements to the park trail system, but more is needed.
The Parks Department has a comprehensive plan to further develop the park with improvements that will increase usage and will provide our
citizens the opportunity to honor the service of our veterans.   Improving the property will also bring visitors to the park continuing economic development of the western part of Kenosha County.  I can envision several Veteran sponsored ceremonies in the fully developed part that would showcase Kenosha as a proud supporter of Southeast Wisconsin’s Veteran community.

I will be engaging the members of Navy Club Ship 40 with the final project approval to assist with the development of the Navy Memorial Shelters.  This will be a unique opportunity for Ship 40 membership to give back to the community by partnering with county park officials to develop the memorial shelter design.

I trust you will make the right decision and vote “Yes” for your support is extremely important for the future of Kenosha County Veterans Memorial Park to honor our military veterans past and present.
I sincerely thank you for your continuous support to our Kenosha County Veterans and our community.  -  Sincerely, James W. Zeszutek, LT USN (Separated)

**The opportunity to incorporate the Veteran's Memorial Park into the Kenosha County Park System-would be a most welcome and meaningful project.
    T
his project would offer recreational and an emotional space for both reflection and healing; to many returning Veterans-both active and in-active. Many of these returning vets are dealing with issues that are both a physical disability and mental issues. This park would offer both to the greater public and military families an educational benefit.
This project would additionally enhance the Kenosha County Park Systems usage numbers through local and statewide military associations and clubs; both socially and public opportunity.

Thank you for your time and consideration - Paul O Meyer, Kenosha Navy Club Ship 40
