Now is the time to ride your bike to work and enter a contest to win fabulous, locally donated prizes, County Executive Jim Kreuser is reminding residents of Kenosha County.

Kenosha County’s official Bike-to-Work Weeks began this week and continue through June 16.

“This is a great time of the year to get out and explore Kenosha County on two wheels,” Kreuser said.

Kenosha County residents are encouraged to submit an entry to the Bike-to-Work Weeks Contest each day they ride a bike to work through June 16. Entries may be made at http://www.kenoshacounty.org/bikecontest.

This year’s prize sponsors are the Bike Shop at Southport Rigging, Jack Andrea, Jockey, the Kenosha Bicycle Ambassadors, Kenosha County Golf and Total Cyclery. Prizes include cycling clothing, water bottles, golf rounds, bike accessories and other cycling paraphernalia.

Bike-to-Work Weeks are held annually with the support of the county executive, the County Board, Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian, the Kenosha City Council, the Kenosha Bicycle Ambassadors and the Kenosha County Multi-Use Trail Committee.
