[ARCHIVED] Resurfacing work to begin on Kenosha County highways AH, EA

Work zone sign

Two Kenosha County highway resurfacing projects will begin during the week of June 18.

These include:

  • Highway AH (89th Street/Salem Road/85th Street) will be resurfaced between highways 83 and 45 in the villages of Salem Lakes and Bristol. This work will begin Monday, June 18, with a series of culvert replacements. Asphalt paving will follow, with project completion expected in mid-August. Expect occasional full road closures and traffic detours while the culvert work is being conducted.
  • Highway EA (72nd Avenue) will be resurfaced between highways E and S in the Village of Somers. Milling work is expected to occur Wednesday and Thursday, June 20 and 21, with paving to begin Monday, June 25. The road will remain open, but traffic may be negatively impacted due to rolling lane closures. Project completion is expected in the first week of July.

Note: All dates are weather dependent and subject to change. A map of county resurfacing projects planned for 2018 is available at http://www.kenoshacounty.org/1977/2018-Resurfacing-Projects.
