At 10:25 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018, Kenosha Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to an address in the Town of Wheatland in the 31500 block of 71st Street for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, Deputies learned of a shooting that occurred in that residence. There were two injured people at that home. Shortly thereafter, deputies also were summoned to the BP gas station in Paddock Lake for a report of two other people with gunshot wounds.

Salem Lakes and Wheatland Fire and EMS personnel also responded. There were four people injured, one of whom is deceased. The surviving victims were transported via rescue and are being treated at area hospitals.

The Wheatland Constable, Wisconsin State Patrol, Twin Lakes Police Department and Kenosha Police Department are assisting.

Deputies and Detectives are actively investigating this incident. We are looking for an involved vehicle, a black four-door car, which was seen at the BP gas station with the two injured people.

Sheriff David Beth will be holding a press conference at the Kenosha Public Safety Building located at 1000 55th Street at 10:00 a.m. Friday, 11-16-18.

UPDATE — 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18:

Kenosha Sheriff’s Department Detectives and Deputies located and arrested two additional suspects from Thursday night’s homicide.

They are identified as 20-year-old Augustine Jesus Sanchez and 23-year-old Anthony Lee Harris II, both of Racine. Both men are in custody at the KSD Jail, and charges of First Degree Homicide are being requested. While the investigation will continue, we believe that all of the suspects in this attack are now in custody.

The vehicle used was also located by Detectives and was impounded for evidence processing.

As Sheriff David Beth mentioned in his Friday press conference, this homicide does not appear to have been a random attack. The residence appears to have been specifically targeted by the suspects.

All four suspects are expected to make their initial appearance in Kenosha County Intake Court on Monday afternoon. The KSD Public Information Office will confirm on Monday morning.

Sheriff Beth would like to extend his gratitude for the many witnesses that assisted and would also like to commend the diligent work of the great men and women of the Sheriff’s Department who were able to apprehend these violent suspects in less than 48 hours.
