[ARCHIVED] Petrifying Springs Golf Course now closed for the season

Petrifying Springs Golf Course is now closed for the season, Daniel Drier, Kenosha County’s general manager of golf operations, announced today.

“We’re sorry to say goodbye for 2018, but with the snow that’s on the ground and looking at the weather forecast, it’s time,” Drier said.

Kenosha County’s other golf facility, Brighton Dale Links, closed for the season earlier this month. Both locations typically open for the season each year in March, weather permitting.

While the golf season is over, the clubhouse at Petrifying Springs remains open for a holiday sale that continues through Dec. 22, Drier said.

Sale hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. All merchandise from both facilities’ clubhouses are on sale at Petrifying Springs, and gift cards for next season are available for purchase.

Drier said the clubhouse sale caps off a fun season for Kenosha County Golf, which again received top honors in the Kenosha News’ Best of Kenosha County awards. For 2018, Petrifying Springs and Brighton Dale came in first and second, respectively, in voting for the Best Golf Course category.

“We’re looking forward to seeing all of our regular golfers, plus some new faces, for another great season in 2019,” Drier said.
