The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway L (18th Street) and Highway H (88th Ave) in the Village of Somers that resulted in multiple people taken to area hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries earlier this evening, March 5, 2019.
At approximately 5:00 P.M. Kenosha County Sheriff Deputies and the Village of Somers Fire Department responded to the above-stated location for the reported incident. The involved vehicles included a silver Chevrolet sedan that was reported to be traveling west on Highway L, a black Cadillac sedan traveling north on Highway H, and a silver Honda sedan traveling south on Highway H. Deputies found at least six injured people at the scene. These were transported to all three area hospitals via ambulance. The intersection remained closed to traffic and was reopened at approximately 6:30 P.M.
The Wisconsin State Patrol, as well as Fire and Rescue personnel from the Town of Randall, Town of Paris, Village of Pleasant Prairie, Village of Salem Lakes, and South Shore Fire Department, responded to assist at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time. The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department reminds motorists to drive safely.
