A long-term closure of Highway KR (First Street) between Highway H (88th Avenue) and 100th Avenue in the Village of Somers is scheduled to begin the evening of Monday, July 22.
This closure is expected to continue for approximately one month. It is being scheduled to accommodate reconstruction of the intersection of highways KR and H.
All of this work is part of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation's Foxconn-area road improvement initiative.
Drivers are encouraged to detour around the Highway KR closure via Highway H, Highway A (Seventh Street) and the Interstate 94 frontage roads.
Access to residents and businesses on Highway KR will be maintained from the west for the duration of the closure.
