Petrifying Springs Biergarten, in partnership with Kenosha County Parks, will host its third annual Oktoberfest celebration throughout the upcoming weekend, Sept. 20-22.

The festivities will include live music, authentic German food and beer, Bavarian games and family activities. Admission is free; food and beverages will be available for purchase.

“Oktoberfest at the Biergarten has quickly become a great tradition at Petrifying Springs Park,” said County Executive Jim Kreuser. “I hope you’ll make it out for what will be a great fall weekend in the park.”

While the events begin with live music Friday evening, County Supervisor Amy Maurer will tap the ceremonial Oktoberfest keg at noon Saturday. Live music will continue throughout the afternoon and evening Saturday and on Sunday afternoon.

Established in 2017, the Petrifying Springs Biergarten is a private entity that operates under a lease agreement with Kenosha County Parks. It is located in Shelter No. 1, near the southern entrance to Petrifying Springs Park, 5555 Seventh St.

Michael Grab, co-owner of the Biergarten, said he is excited to return with another Oktoberfest celebration.

“Whether you’re one of our many great, regular customers, or it’s your first time visiting the Biergarten, we look forward to celebrating Oktoberfest with you,” Grab said.
