[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Joint Information Center formed within Kenosha County Emergency Operations Center

On Tuesday, March 17, 2020, the Kenosha County Emergency Operations Center (E.O.C.) met in response to the National, State and County declarations of emergency, regarding the COVID-19 public health crisis. The Kenosha County E.O.C. is comprised of government representatives from the County and all of its municipalities. This includes public health, law enforcement, and fire and rescue services. The Kenosha County E.O.C. meets daily and receives updated information from the State of Wisconsin’s Emergency Operations Center.

To streamline information sharing and communication, the Kenosha County E.O.C. has formed the Kenosha County Emergency Management Joint Information Center. This group is comprised of County and City Public Information Officers. Information sharing will come from the Kenosha County Joint Information Center (J.I.C.), allowing for consistent messaging regarding COVID-19 to individual departments within County and City Government.

The J.I.C. is asking that anyone who has a question regarding Covid-19 self-care, dial 2-1-1 or visit the 2-1-1 website https://211wisconsin.communityos.org/. This is a free, multilingual service available to all Kenosha County residents 24/7. For additional information please refer to:

Together, we can and will slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
