[ARCHIVED] 2013 Kenosha County Golf Open to be held July 12-14

Brighton Dale Links and Petrifying Springs GC will host the 2013 Kenosha County Open Golf Tournament, July 12th through July 14th. The Open will kick off at Brighton Dale Links Blue Spruce Course from the white tees, playing to 6300 yards, at 1p.m. on Friday, July 12th. On Saturday, July 13th, the event will tee off at Petrifying Springs Golf Course starting at 7 a.m., playing to 6000 yards. On Sunday, July 14th, there will be a 7 a.m. on the White Birch Course at Brighton Dale Links with A & B flights playing the white tee at 6600 yards and the championship flight playing the blue tees at 7000 yards.

The field will be limited to 144 players. The field will be separated into different flights after the first two rounds based on the players scores. Prizes will be awarded for all flights and paid out in gift cards; unless the player declares they are golf professional. Any player regardless of residency is eligible to enter. You do not have to be the best player to enter just one that enjoys tournament golf.

The entry fee for the tournament is $100 per player, which includes three 18-hole rounds of golf and prizes. Carts are not included in the entry fee and are not required to play. There will also be an optional skins game for an additional $25. High school players who are not eligible for prizes will have an entry fee of $75. The deadline to enter is Monday, July 8th.

Brighton Dale complex is comprised of 45 championship golf holes. White Birch and Blue Spruce are 18-hole, par 72 layouts that measure 6,977 and 6,687 yards, respectively. Red Pine is a 9-hole, par 36 layout of over 3,500 yards. All 45 holes at Brighton Dale links offer distinctive variances featuring water, mature trees and hilly terrain along with well-manicured playing conditions. Brighton Dale Links is located in northwestern Kenosha County. Brighton Dale Park is adjacent to the Bong Recreation Area, just north of the intersection of Highways 75 and 142. Enter off of Highway 75.

Petrifying Springs Golf Course is a very player friendly, classic golf course which opened in 1936. Petrifying Springs Golf Course is located in northeastern Kenosha County; the Petrifying Springs clubhouse is 1/2-mile east of the intersection of Highway 31 and County Road A.
