[ARCHIVED] Sheriff's Department responds to various calls in connection with Aug. 10, 2020, storm

On August 10th, 2020 Kenosha County experienced a severe thunderstorm and tornado warning that began yesterday afternoon starting at approximately 3:00 PM until 6:30 PM. Kenosha County Sheriff Deputies responded to the following weather and traffic-related calls:

  • 1 accident with injuries
  • 1 property damage accident
  • 13 road hazard reports
  • 15 fire calls
  • 19 service calls

This is a total of 49 calls in the span of the storm. According to We-Energies, Kenosha County currently has 913 customers without power. At this time there are no road closures in Kenosha County due to the storm. Our deputies were able to keep up with the calls for service and did an excellent job serving the people of Kenosha County. The roadways were dangerous and we are thankful that none of the accidents involved life-threatening injuries.
