Highway K year-end project update

Photo of newly reconstructed Highway K in November 2022

The project team has completed most of the 2022 reconstruction project on Kenosha County Highway K (60th Street) near the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks.

Some electrical work will be ongoing throughout the winter months; however, Highway K will remain open to traffic throughout this time.

The following work is scheduled to resume in spring 2023:

  • Railroad track replacement by the Canadian Pacific Railway.
  • Grading, pavement and curb and gutter at the Canadian Pacific crossing.
  • Railroad signal and gate replacement by Canadian Pacific.
  • Paving of the multi-use path and sidewalk at the Canadian Pacific crossing.

The project team thanks the public for its patience and cooperation throughout this project.

A project brief including a map of the work area is available here.
