Kenosha County to host Arbor Day celebration Friday, April 28

A celebration of Arbor Day will be held this Friday at the Kenosha County Center in Bristol.

The festivities will begin at 5 p.m. with a tree arts and photography exhibit featuring the works of Kenosha County 4-H participants, followed by a tree-planting ceremony including Kenosha County officials at 5:30 p.m.

Additional activities after the ceremony include an interactive tree trunk section display contributed by the Urban Wood Lab and Hoppe Tree Service, a presentation by Extension Kenosha County Horticulture Educator Vijai Pandian on how a tree grows, tree awards and recognition by Kenosha County officials.

A scavenger tree hunt by Kenosha County 4-H will conclude the program at 6:15 p.m.

The Kenosha County Center is located at the corner of highways 45 and 50 in Bristol.
