[ARCHIVED] CERT Training

Kenosha County Emergency Management and Meijer Foods will be sponsoring a Kenosha area CERT training this November. Community Emergency Response Teams are made up of citizens, workplace leaders, and other individuals, trained by emergency personnel to respond to help others in the event of a major disaster. The training prepares community volunteers to respond to emergencies in their communities when fire, police, and first responders may not be able to immediately reach all people who need help.

County government and area businesses have come together to support this Free public training. Participants will learn to provide critical support to their family, loved ones, neighbors and associates, until professional help arrives.

This training will take place on November 17th, 18th and 19th from 9AM – 3PM at the Meijer Corporation, 7400 95th St. in the Village of Pleasant Prairie.

To register or to receive more information call Kenosha County Emergency Management at 262-605-7900 or email Cheryl.mccrary@kenoshacounty.org.
