[ARCHIVED] Work scheduled on County Trunk Highway N

The Kenosha County Department of Public Works announces scheduled work on County Trunk Highway “N” (38th Street) in the Town of Paris that will require a road closure. The project involves the replacement of the CTH “N” Des Plaines River Bridge located approximately 1-mile east of USH 45. The existing bridge has deteriorated to the extent that it is posted to a 10-ton weight limitation. The new bridge will be constructed to current design standards eliminating weight restrictions.

County Trunk Highway “N”, between USU 45 and CTH “D”, will be closed beginning Tuesday June 2, 2015. The anticipated completion date of the project is August 7, 2015.

A signed detour route for through traffic will be posted via CTH “D”, CTH “K”, and USH 45. Access to all local residents on CTH “N” will be provided.

The contract for bridge reconstruction has been awarded to Concrete Structures, Inc. of Janesville Wisconsin. The cost of the project is $511,169 and will be funded with 50% State County Highway Improvement Program funds and 50% County funds.
