[ARCHIVED] Death Investigation

On Sunday, November 1st, 2015, at approximately 0812 hours, the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Lake Michigan shoreline near a residence in the 900 block of Sheridan Road in Kenosha County, regarding a death investigation. A local resident discovered a person deceased on the rocks of the shoreline and notified authorities.

Kenosha County Detectives attended an autopsy of this individual today. Positive identification has not yet been made. This investigation continues with positive identification of the victim is pending further tests.

The victim is believed to be a Caucasian man. No foul play is suspected at this time and there were no signs of trauma to the body, other than typical postmortem deterioration due to wave and shoreline action. Medical examiner reports, officer reports and any notifications of the victim’s family are pending further investigation.

The City of Kenosha Police Department is assisting in this case as part of an ongoing missing person case in their jurisdiction.
