[ARCHIVED] Highway C to close for emergency repairs Aug. 8-11

Kenosha County Trunk Highway C is set to be closed between highways 45 and D from Tuesday, Aug. 8, to Friday, Aug. 11.

The closure is to accommodate the emergency repair of a 56-foot-long, 48-inch-diameter culvert on Highway C (93rd Street), just west of Highway D, which was damaged during the recent flooding in the area.

The Kenosha County Division of Highways will coordinate traffic control with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation project team that is overseeing the ongoing resurfacing of Highway 45 in the affected area.

The county has contracted with Racine-based A.W. Oakes & Son Inc. to complete the culvert repairs.

During the closure, motorists are asked to detour around the area via Highway D (184th Avenue), Highway 50 (75th Street) and Highway 83 (Antioch Road). A detour map is available here: http://www.kenoshacounty.org/DocumentCenter/View/6951.
