[ARCHIVED] Latest Kenosha County Job Fair to be held Sept. 13

More than 50 employers will be on hand for the next Kenosha County Job Fair, to be held Wednesday, Sept. 13 at Gateway Technical College.

The fair will run from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Madrigrano Auditorium, 3520 30th Ave. Booth space is not presently available for employers, but all job seekers are invited to attend. Admission is free.

“Even with unemployment rates at recent lows, there are plenty of people searching for jobs, and plenty of employers looking for candidates to fill positions,” said Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser. “Face-to-face contact at these job fairs is extremely helpful when it comes to matching employers with employees, and vice versa.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with potential employers to learn more about available positions. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resume.

“Whether you’re unemployed, unhappy with your current job, or just curious about what kinds of opportunities are available, this is an event you won’t want to miss,” said Doug Bartz, Kenosha County Job Center manager.

The fair is sponsored by Kenosha County, the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and the Kenosha News.

A list of employers to be represented at the fair appears  at http://www.kenoshanews.com/promotions/job_fair/.

Job seekers with questions about the fair may call 262-697-4610 or send an email to Business.Services@kenoshacounty.org.
