[ARCHIVED] County performing Highway 31 repairs for state; traffic delays expected

Kenosha County, under contract by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, is conducting spot repairs of damaged pavement along Highway 31 (Green Bay Road) in the City of Kenosha.

This work, in the area between Highway K (60th Street) and Highway 50 (75th Street), involves sporadic lane closures that may cause traffic delays near busy intersections.

The work began last week and will continue for up to four more weeks, said Clement Abongwa, Kenosha County highway director.

Abongwa said this work is being completed before winter in an effort to prevent formation of potholes in the pavement.
