Safety is a concern for everyone, but the need for a safety plan is even more important in the case of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. Dementia brings a greater risk of falls, wandering, injuries, behavior challenges and medication mistakes.

Learn more about dementia and techniques to reduce behavior and environmental risks in a free workshop offered by the Kenosha County Aging & Disability Resource Center from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Twin Lakes Community Library, 110 S. Lake Avenue, Twin Lakes.

The program will be presented by Rebecca Dutter, Adult Protective Services Supervisor, and Janet Hogan, Dementia Care Specialist.

Light refreshments served. A File for Life, Medicine Lock Box and Dementia Resource Directory will be available free for all participants.

For more information call the Kenosha County Aging & Disability Resource Center at 262-605-6646.
