[ARCHIVED] Kenosha County golf courses now closed for the season

Kenosha County’s golf courses are now closed for the season, Daniel Drier, general manager of golf operations, announced today.

Brighton Dale Links had closed for the season Nov. 17, but Petrifying Springs Golf Course remained open as long as the daily high temperature was forecast to be 40 degrees or above. With highs now predicted to be below that mark for the foreseeable future, Monday was the year’s last day of golf at Petrifying Springs.

The Petrifying Springs Clubhouse will remain open, however, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday through Dec. 23 for a special golf holiday closeout sale.

Customers may save up to 50 percent on some merchandise, and purchase gift cards for next season. Those who buy gift cards will receive free golf – 9 holes for those who spend $100, 18 holes for those who spend $200 and an 18-hole foursome for those who spend $500.

“Thank you to all who came out and patronized Kenosha County Golf in 2017,” Drier said. “It was another excellent season, and we’re really looking forward to 2018 and lots of good things coming for the season.”

The county courses typically open for the season in March, weather permitting.
