[ARCHIVED] Shoplifting suspects lead deputies on high-speed chase

At Approximately 4:17 pm on January 24, 2018, the Pleasant Prairie Police Department (PPPD) advised that they were investigating a retail theft from the Tommy Hilfiger Store located in the Premium Outlet Mall at 11211 120th Ave., in Pleasant Prairie. PPPD advised that the suspect vehicle was a silver Pontiac and was last seen heading northbound from the mall.
Kenosha Sheriff’s Deputy John Lanctot observed a silver Pontiac driving north on I-94 near STH 158 and attempted to stop this car. The Pontiac exited the freeway and drove east on CTH S. The Pontiac accelerated, trying to elude the Deputy. The Pontiac failed to stop for the red traffic signal at CTH H and causing a traffic crash with two other vehicles. The occupants of those two vehicles were not injured in this crash.
The five occupants of the Pontiac exited and began running east on CTH S. With the assistance of the PPPD, Kenosha Police Department and other assisting KSD Deputies, all five suspects were apprehended. Two of the suspects were treated and released by the Village of Somers Rescue for minor injuries resulting from the incident.
A search of the suspect vehicle uncovered over $6,000.00 of stolen merchandise.
In custody for PPPD felony retail theft charges and KSD Obstructing charges are:
Sandra K. Smith 20, Wanda G. Winslow 23, Eugene R. Scull 19, Kevion Q. Thompson 18 and a 16-year-old male juvenile – all from Milwaukee, WI.
