Kenosha County’s newest assisted living community, Willowbrook Assisted Living, will host a free concert, cookout and open house on Sunday, Aug. 26.

The concert, featuring music by Simon & Schmidt, will run from 4 to 5 p.m. in the courtyard at Willowbrook, 3508 Washington Road, Kenosha. Tours will be offered after the concert.

Food and refreshments will be served during the event. Attendees are asked to enter through the main entrance on the west side of the Willowbrook building.

“We look forward to introducing our new Willowbrook community to the Kenosha community, and hope that you will come and enjoy the wonderful music and food with us,” said Tara Paskiewicz, Willowbrook manager.

Willowbrook, which opened in June, is located in a recently completed addition to the Brookside Care Center complex. The new, community-based residential facility includes assisted-living accommodations for 24 residents.

The Willowbrook facility features spacious private bedrooms and bathrooms with walk-in showers and built-in grab bars. Residents receive three home-cooked meals daily, with an on-site bistro serving fresh food made to order.

A registered nurse is on site 24 hours a week, while other staff are available 24 hours a day to provide assistance to residents as needed.More information about Willowbrook is available online at www.willowbrookofkenosha.com, or by calling Paskiewicz at 262-653-3842.
