[ARCHIVED] 4 arrested in KDOG drug investigation

On Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at approximately 1130 hours, members of the Kenosha Drug Operations Group were conducting surveillance on a suspected drug house at 4425 30th Ave., Lower, Kenosha.  For the past few months KDOG had an active investigation into three subjects living at this residence who were selling illegal narcotics in and out of the residence and surrounding area.

While on surveillance, KDOG members observed two of the suspects, Cory E. Piehl, m/w 06/18/1990, and Willie (nmi) jones Jr., m/b 03/03/1997, exit the residence and drive away in a vehicle. At this time KDOG arranged for a traffic stop to be conducted of their vehicle based on the information obtained during the investigation. A traffic stop was conducted and both Piehl and Jones were taken into custody without incident.  A short time later it was learned by KDOG members, the location of the third suspect in the investigation, Zachary S. Moore, m/b 12/28/1991. Moore was taken into custody also without incident.

KDOG then wrote a “no knock” search warrant for the residence. With assistance from KPD Gang Unit members, entry was made to the residence. Once inside the residence, the search revealed approximately 45.1 grams of pure fentanyl and approximately 21.6 grams of heroin. Also discovered was several items related to drug activity and deliveries.  

Upon interviewing the three subjects in custody, KDOG was able to learn of a possible large delivery of drugs to Kenosha from Chicago later this evening to be made to their residence. KDOG with assistance from KPD Gang Unit and patrol, were able to set up surveillance. A short time later the suspected vehicle arrived at the location at which time the operator of this vehicle was taken into custody without incident. Dwayne d. Jones, m/b 08/11/1990, from Chicago was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Approximately 73.3 grams of both fentanyl and heroin were located with Jones.

As a result of this investigation, approximately 140.0 grams of both fentanyl and heroin were recovered. Along with four subjects being arrested for possession with intent to deliver, felony charges being filed.
