[ARCHIVED] Summer job opportunity: Kenosha County seeking lifeguards for Silver Lake Park beach

Want to spend the summer working outdoors? How about on a beach?

Kenosha County is seeking qualified applicants to work as lifeguards at Silver Lake Park Beach.

The beach is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Lifeguards work a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week, with rotating days off. Typical work hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; workdays include weekends and holidays.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have the following licenses or certifications:

  • Current American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Training or Ellis & Associates (Ellis) Lifeguard Training
  • ARC or Ellis Waterfront Lifeguarding
  • ARC or Ellis Lifeguard Training Instructor
  • CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification

Hired lifeguards will receive a $250 enlistment bonus.
