Memorial Day Weekend will usher in a busy season of summer activities in Kenosha County’s parks, County Executive Jim Kreuser announced today.

The festivities kick off Friday, May 24, with the season kickoff at the Petrifying Springs Biergarten. On Saturday, May 25, the new Boundless Adventures aerial adventure park within Bristol Woods Park will open for business, and the season will officially begin at Silver Lake Park Beach.

The popular, weekly activities that launched at Petrifying Springs Park two seasons ago will resume in June. These include Yoga, CrossFit and Movie Nights in the Park. There are also new activities this year, including a bike rodeo and a food truck tour, plus the return of the annual Picnic in the Park.

“For years, I’ve said it should be our goal to wear out the grass in our parks,” Kreuser said. “I love to see it when our parks are filled with people, enjoying activities or simply taking in the scenery. With the schedule that our staff has put together, there will be more than enough reasons to come out to our great county parks this summer.”
