[ARCHIVED] Highway F to close at Highway 50 for summer-long utility, widening project

Looking south on Highway F from Highway 50

A short stretch of Kenosha County Highway F in the Village of Paddock Lake is scheduled to be closed to through traffic beginning Tuesday, July 2, and continuing until Oct. 8.

This closure affects the portion of Highway F (256th Avenue) starting at Highway 50 (75th Street) and continuing southward approximately 1,450 feet.

The road is being closed to facilitate a widening and the installation of Village of Paddock Lake-managed water main and storm sewer lines to serve the Whitetail Ridge apartment development near the southwest corner of highways F and 50.

Union Grove-based Willkomm Excavating & Grading Inc. is the contractor for the project, which will be supervised by the Kenosha County Division of Highways.

Drivers are urged to detour around the closure via Highway 50 (east of the intersection), Highway 83 (Antioch Road), Highway AH (89th Street) and Highway SA (Camp Lake Road). View a map of the detour route here.

Those who live in the affected area are reminded to remain alert and drive with caution if they must drive through the work zone.

While project completion is scheduled for Oct. 8, the construction schedule is subject to change due to weather and other factors.
