[ARCHIVED] Preliminary work to begin on installation of traffic signals at Highway H and 65th Street

Intersection of Highway H and 65th Street

Construction activity is scheduled to begin the week of July 15 on the installation of traffic signals at the intersection of Kenosha County Highway H (88th Avenue) and 65th Street in the City of Kenosha.

Crews will begin groundwork related to the project. This includes the pouring of foundations, laying of underground conduit and sidewalk repairs.

The signal poles and cabinets are now on order and are expected to arrive in early- to mid-October. The foundations are being poured this month so that the cement will be fully cured before the signals are installed in the fall.

Groundwork is expected to be completed by the end of this month, after which time there will be no activity on the project until the signal equipment arrives.

No road closures are expected while the groundwork occurs, though traffic delays are possible due to periodic lane closures. Drivers are urged to proceed through the construction area with caution.
