[ARCHIVED] Southeast Wisconsin Career Expo set for May 22

Job seekers and employers are invited to register for the Southeast Wisconsin Career Expo, scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. May 22 at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside’s Sports and Activity Center.

The Kenosha County Job Center, its regional workforce partners, and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development are sponsoring the Career Expo, the third event of its kind organized to match area employers that have current openings with job seekers who have completed one-on-one counseling, developed a professional résumé and cover letter and completed other prescreening activities.

Two career expos were held last year, one in West Allis and one in Green Bay; each drew dozens of employers and hundreds of prescreened job seekers. In follow-up surveys, businesses gave high marks to the expos and many said permanent hires resulted from direct connections made there.
Kenosha-area employers interested in registering for the Career Expo can find details and register at www.WisconsinCareerExpo.com.

Interested Kenosha County job seekers must complete a simple registration process, starting at www.JobCenterofWisconsin.com.

For more information contact the Kenosha County Job Center, M-F 8:00am – 4:30pm.
