Portion of Highway E to close July 23-26 for railroad crossing work

Union Pacific Railroad crossing at Highway E

The Union Pacific Railroad crossing at Highway E, just west of Highway 32, will be closed July 23-26.

This will result in the closure of Highway E (12th Street) between Highway 32 (Sheridan Road) and Highway Y (22nd Avenue). The road will remain open to local traffic only, with a hard closure at the railroad tracks.

The closure, which the railroad sought from the Kenosha County Division of Highways, is set to begin at 7 a.m. Thursday, July 23, continuing until 7 a.m. Sunday, July 26.

A posted detour will send drivers around the closure via Highway Y, Highway A (Seventh Street) and Highway 32.
