[ARCHIVED] 38th Street intersection to reopen; long-term closure on Highway S to resume

Highway S project logo

The intersection of Kenosha County Highway S and 38th Street (formerly Highway N) is scheduled to reopen to traffic by 6 a.m. Monday, May 24.

At the same time, a long-term closure of Highway S from that intersection to the Interstate 94 East Frontage Road will resume.

The long-term closure had been suspended for two weeks while the 38th Street intersection was being reconstructed.

All of this work is part of the ongoing Highway S expansion project, which is now in its second and final year.

A project update including a map showing the long-term closure area and the posted detour route is available here. More details about the entire project are available on the project website.
