The Kenosha County Redistricting Committee on Sept. 10, 2021, recommended approval of a new County Board district map, which would take effect for the spring 2022 election.

That map may be viewed here.

The redistricting process occurs every 10 years, to ensure equal representation on the county, state and federal levels of government.

The recommended map will be presented to the County Board at its Sept. 15 meeting. A public hearing on the recommended map will immediately precede the board meeting that evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Chambers on the third floor of the County Administration Building, 1010 56th St., Kenosha.

The board will take up approval of that tentative plan at that board meeting. The tentative map will then be transmitted to the county’s municipalities for the purposes of drawing municipal wards.

The County Board will then adopt a final map in early November, which will be in effect for the spring 2022 election.

Prior to the Sept. 10 committee meeting, two other maps were considered:

  • The 2021 Plan A preliminary map may be viewed here.
  • The 2021 Plan B preliminary map may be viewed here.

The current County Board district map, adopted in 2011, may be viewed here.
