[ARCHIVED] KD Park closed to traffic until further notice; Dog Park not affected

Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser is announcing that KD Park will be closed to vehicle traffic until further notice.

“Visitors may park at the entrance and walk in to the park,” Kreuser said, “but wet conditions have created problems for vehicles.” A decision was made Tuesday morning (March 11, 2014) to keep the gates of the park closed because of the wet conditions and a concern about vehicles becoming stuck along the gravel roadway.

The park is located at 8530 352nd Ave., south of Highway50 in the Town of Wheatland and Village of Twin Lakes.

The closure of the KD Park entrance does not affect the Warren Close Bark Park, located at 35610 89th St., Twin Lakes. Parks division officials will continue to monitor the dog park parking area conditions.
