[ARCHIVED] County to sponsor bike rides to Dairy Breakfast

Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser is inviting people to participate in the DairyAir Dairy Breakfast ride on June 18, 2016.

This year, there will be two starting points for the ride:

  • 7 a.m. at Silver Lake Park, 27000 85th St., Salem, for a slightly more than 12 mile ride to the Kenosha County Dairy Breakfast at Crane Dairy Farm, 29320 31st St., Burlington. It is a 25 mile ride round-trip. The ride is moderately difficult with some hills. People are asked to use their best judgment and participate based on their own skill level.
  • The short ride will also start at 7 a.m. at Silver Lake Park, for a 5 mile (10 miles round-trip) ride to the Dairy Breakfast.

There will also be special bike parking and a tented rest area at the Dairy Breakfast for riders.

A Kenosha County Sheriff’s Squad car will follow the back of the pack for safety-purposes.

There is no cost to participate in the ride or to tour the farm. Dairy Breakfast tickets are $6 for adults, children under 6 are free. For more information about the Dairy Breakfast, call 262-206-8149.

Ride participants are asked to register here. Call 262-653-2600 for more information.
