[ARCHIVED] Beat The Heat! Free Admission to Silver Lake Beach on Friday

Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser and Kenosha County Parks Division announce free admission to Silver Lake Beach on Friday, July 22.

Due to the excessive heat warning, Kreuser is encouraging all Kenosha County residents to stay cool and enjoy the outdoors by waving the usual Silver Lake Beach fees. Lifeguards will be on duty from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday only. Nonresidents are still permitted to enter the beach area for $10 per vehicle.

Silver Lake Park Beach also offers free Wi-Fi and concessions are for sale, including ice cream, hot dogs, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

While enjoying the beach, visitors are also encouraged to participate in other free recreational amenities around the park such as 18 holes of championship level disc golfing, 10 miles of mountain bike trails and numerous miles of hiking paths.
Silver Lake Park is located at 27000 85th St., Salem, WI 53168.

Please contact the Kenosha County Parks Department at 262-857-1869 with any questions.
