[ARCHIVED] Kenosha County to host Fall Wheel Ride

Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser invites bike riders of all ability levels to participate in the Seventh Annual Fall Wheel Ride to Petrifying Springs Park from 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, Oct. 1st.

“Fall is a beautiful time of the year in Kenosha County and what a better way to celebrate it than a bike ride to Petrifying Springs Park with the family,” Kreuser said.

Riders are encouraged to select one of two starting points to the park’s Pavilion 1, located near the Highway JR entrance. The starting points are:

  • 9 a.m. at Simmons Island Park, 44th Street and Kennedy Drive – 6.3 miles (one way) to Pavilion 1 at Petrifying Springs Park;
  • 9:30 a.m. at Bose Elementary School, 1900 15th St. – 2.5 miles to Pavilion 1 at Petrifying Springs Park.

Apple cider, popcorn and water will be provided for riders by the Kenosha County Division of Parks. There will also be bike activities at the Pavilion.
