[ARCHIVED] CTH C Closure to replace Railroad Crossing

The Kenosha County Department of Public Works announces scheduled work to replace the Canadian National Railroad Crossing on County Trunk Highway “C” in Trevor in the Town of Salem. The work site is located on CTH “C”, 1.2 miles west of State Trunk Highway 83.

The railroad crossing is in deteriorated condition and is being completely replaced by the Canadian National Railroad.

The railroad crossing project is scheduled to begin at 6:00 AM on Monday September 19, 2016 and take approximately five days to complete. CTH “C” at the railroad crossing project site will be impassable to vehicles and require a detour route.

For detouring purposes, CTH “C” will be closed between County Trunk Highway “JF” and State Trunk Highway 83 for the duration of the project. Access will be provided to all side roads, residences, businesses and farms. A posted detour route utilizing County Trunk Highway “JF” and State Trunk Highway 83 will be in place.
